When life feels like everything is against you, then this is the moment that is showing us… it is time to look within.
All of the guidance, comfort, answers, and love we are looking for are there… within you, within us. By developing a daily practice built on unconditional love, acceptance, and authenticity, we can incorporate many uplifting tools, techniques, and practices to help us understand what we are facing… no matter the details of the experience. As we align our thoughts and intentions to the desired outcome for the highest good, we can use our gift of discernment to make an informed decision and move forward.
Developing a Daily Practice
What does your self-care routine look like? When you wake up in the morning, what is your first thought? Do you have a daily practice for maintaining the wellbeing of your mind, body, and spirit? Do you consistently feel well-rested after you sleep? Are you eating well and nourishing yourself with what your body needs? What is the status of your relationships? Are you holding onto grudges, anger, shame, and guilt? How often do you laugh? When did you last tell yourself I love you?
Looking within… what does this mean to you? Do you meditate to gain clarity and focus? What is the longest you have sat in silence? What type of thoughts come to your mind when you sit in silence?
Have you ever sat in silence to appreciate the moment? How did this make you feel? Did you feel uncomfortable? What part of your body did you feel the discomfort? If you are unsure of the answers, take a moment to set a timer for 3 minutes and close your eyes now. Observe your reactions from your mind and body. When the 3 minutes are up, write down your observations.
Do you write your thoughts and dreams in a journal? Do you express yourself with love and compassion to people you care about? Do you exercise to release stress, improve brain function, and your wellness? How often do you express gratitude?
